About Tail Wisdom™
Tail Wisdom was created to bring clarity and structure to dog ownership through a simple, repeatable dog behavior approach. Instead of relying on scattered tips or quick fixes, we focus on building consistent routines that help dogs feel calm, focused, and predictable in everyday life.
Our goal is to replace confusion with structure — and help dog owners create a more balanced, connected relationship with their dogs.
Meet Gatsby — Ambassador & DOO (Dog Operating Officer)

Every great company has a leader who sets the tone. At Tail Wisdom, that leader just happens to be a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Gatsby is our Ambassador and DOO, and the heart behind everything we do.
She’s the inspiration for Tail Wisdom and the reason this site exists — a daily reminder that dogs deserve structure that’s thoughtful, balanced, and rooted in real life.
We welcomed Gatsby into our lives during the height of Covid — a time of uncertainty, change, and long days at home. From the very beginning, she adapted with resilience and quiet confidence.
She grew up in a world that shifted constantly, which made her flexible, observant, and surprisingly wise beyond her ears.
Confident, a little sassy, and always alert, Gatsby takes her role seriously… especially when treats, walks, or “quality control” are involved. She firmly believes every product should pass inspection — preferably multiple times — and sees it as her duty to supervise all deliveries.
Despite her bold personality, Gatsby has a softer side. Classical music is her calm place (truly). Whenever landscaping crews arrive or loud neighborhood activity kicks up, we turn on her favorite symphonies.
Within minutes, she settles into her bed, listening intently as if conducting the orchestra herself. Balance matters — excitement has its place, but so does peace.
She also considers herself a connoisseur of local coffee shops. A quick outing often means tagging along for a “pup cup,” which she accepts with great dignity and zero hesitation. It’s all part of her commitment to living life fully — and making sure we do the same.
Gatsby embraces her daily siestas with unwavering discipline. Rain or shine, busy or calm, nap time is non-negotiable. It’s a reminder that rest is not indulgent — it’s essential. Dogs understand this instinctively. We’re just trying to keep up.
While she’s friendly, Gatsby is selective about her inner circle. She’s still on the lookout for her true dog bestie — someone who appreciates her standards, respects her boundaries, and matches her energy. Until then, she remains happily independent and fully in charge.
At Tail Wisdom, Gatsby keeps us grounded. She reminds us that health isn’t just about supplements or products — it’s about rhythm, resilience, curiosity, and joy.
It’s about paying attention. It’s about living well. And if there happens to be a treat involved? Even better.
Gatsby’s Personality As Reported by Staff
Gatsby brings a lot to the table — sometimes literally.
She’s:
- Loyal and affectionate, especially with her inner circle
- Energetic and playful, with a strong appreciation for activity and fun
- Alert and watchful, always keeping an eye on what’s going on
- Independent and stubborn, because great leaders know their minds
- Confident and sassy, with opinions she isn’t afraid to share
These traits shape the way we think about dog care: every dog is different, and personality matters.
What Gatsby Does at Tail Wisdom
As Ambassador & DOO, Gatsby oversees the most important aspects of Tail Wisdom’s day-to-day operations, including:
- Setting the overall vibe (non-negotiable)
- Supervising creation from a comfortable distance
- Stress-testing dog beds, toys, and nap locations
- Reminding us that wellness include play, rest, and joy
While she doesn’t write the articles herself (yet), Gatsby influences every decision we make — from what topics we cover to how we approach dog health and everyday care.
Life Beyond the Office
When Gatsby isn’t “on duty,” she’s living her best life — enjoying pool days, playtime, supervising backyard activities, and taking well-earned naps. You’ll find her throughout Tail Wisdom as a cheerful companion and gentle reminder that caring for dogs isn’t only about what we give them, but about creating loving routines and structures that help them thrive every day.
Meet The Founders

We’re Yohanna and Lucy — two sisters who have been surrounded by dogs for as long as we can remember. Our love for dogs didn’t start later in life — it has always been part of who we are.
Professionally, we each spent more than a decade in Corporate America working in Information Technology. That experience shaped how we think — in systems, structure, and practical solutions that actually work. Tail Wisdom is where those two worlds come together: our lifelong connection to dogs and our belief in creating clear, reliable ways to navigate everyday challenges.
For years, we worked in high-pressure environments solving complex problems and building structured systems. But when it came to dog care, we realized something surprising — none of that experience translated into understanding how dogs actually learn or how to guide them with clarity and intention.
Then COVID gave us space to slow down and reflect on the dogs we had loved over the years. That’s when we noticed a pattern we had missed before.
Every dog was different.
Some adapted easily to our lives, while others struggled — and we didn’t always understand why.
Looking back, the answer became clear.
We gave them love — but not always enough structure.
We were reacting instead of leading.
We cared deeply, but we weren’t always guiding them clearly.
When we looked beyond our own experience, we saw the same pattern everywhere:
too much noise
too many opinions
not enough clarity
So we built Tail Wisdom to be different.
We brought the systems-thinking mindset from our careers into dog care — turning overwhelm into simple, repeatable routines. That’s how the Tail Method™ was created.
We tested it with Gatsby, and everything changed.
Behavior became more predictable.
Routines became easier.
Life together felt calmer, more connected, and more intentional.
That was the moment we knew this wasn’t just something that worked for us — it was something worth sharing.
We realized that behavior isn’t just about the dog.
It’s about the structure around them.
Tail Wisdom exists to give back to dogs and the people who love them by sharing the clarity and structure we wish we had from the beginning.
Because dogs give us everything, without judgment.
The least we can do is learn how to guide them in a way that truly supports them.
The Mission
Our mission is to give dog owners clear, practical guidance that helps them build structure, reduce stress, and strengthen the bond with their dog — in ways that work in real life.
The Vision
Our vision is to become a trusted platform where dog owners can find clarity in a space that often feels overwhelming — and where more dogs can live calm, balanced, and well-supported lives.
Why This Matters
Dogs don’t need perfection.
They need consistency
They need clarity
They need someone who understands them
We’ve lived through the trial and error, the frustration, and the learning curves. Now, we’re here to help you move forward with confidence — and build a better everyday life with your dog.
Because when your dog understands the routine, everything else becomes easier.
